Eakes Office Solutions Celebrates Its 70th Anniversary

BTA member Eakes Office Solutions is celebrating its 70th anniversary this month. Founded in 1945 by Howard Eakes, the company has grown from two employees in Grand Island, Nebraska, to more than 235 employees spanning 12 locations across Nebraska.
"Howard Eakes started our company 70 years ago on the premise of hard work, dedication and great customer service," said Mark Miller, president, Eakes Office Solutions. "To this day, Eakes personnel embrace these values to provide the high level of care that our customers desire. I am very fortunate to be among such a caring team that embraces this anniversary and understands what it means to our company. Our future is truly full of promise for continued growth, satisfied customers and fulfilled employees."
Eakes Office Solutions continues to be a leader in the industry. Eakes' copier division has been named a Sharp Hyakuman Kai Elite Dealer nine times in the past 10 years and is a top-five Sharp dealer in the nation. Miller was named chairman of the Sharp National Dealer Advisory Council in 2015. Eakes' furniture & design division has received Steelcase Platinum Partner status in four consecutive years — a group of furniture dealers that represents the top 15 percent of the Steelcase dealer network.
Other distinctions include recognition as an Elite Dealer by ENX Magazine five times since 2008 and receiving the 2014 HR Employer of the Year Award from the Society for Human Resource Management Nebraska State Council.
