Electronics For Imaging Inc. (EFI) has announced that resort and gaming entrepreneur Steve Wynn, founder, CEO and chairman of Wynn Resorts, will give a keynote presentation followed by a Q&A session at EFI Connect, the company's annual users conference scheduled for Jan. 19-22, 2016, at Wynn Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. The resort magnate's session will close out the first day at Connect.

Wynn is a legend in the resort business and the man who created the Golden Nugget — the first destination resorts in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, New Jersey — through a 1971 transaction with Howard Hughes. Projects following his Golden Nugget successes included the Mirage, Treasure Island and Bellagio resort-casinos, igniting a construction boom that catapulted Las Vegas into America's number-one tourist destination. Today, his Wynn and Encore resorts in Las Vegas and Macau carry on that tradition as the entrepreneur nears completion on a major expansion in Macau and begins an ambitious new project in Boston.

"Next year will be the 10th anniversary of EFI hosting Connect at Wynn Las Vegas and there are very good reasons we continue to choose this exceptional venue," said Guy Gecht, CEO, EFI. "Wynn Las Vegas is emblematic of Steve Wynn's devotion to excellence and his ability to exceed customer expectations — two things EFI always strives to offer to our own customers. I am sure Connect attendees will benefit from hearing his story firsthand to learn what this thought leader and legendary entrepreneur has done to drive ongoing success while addressing significant challenges and opportunities in the course of his career."

"EFI is passionate about helping small and mid-sized family-owned businesses be successful — a mission that I am happy to be part of by hosting EFI Connect for the last 10 years and speaking at Connect 2016," Wynn said.

In honoring Wynn Resorts as one of the World's Most Admired Companies for seven years in a row, Fortune stated, "CEO Steve Wynn's transformation of mundane hotels and casinos into sparkling gaming palaces has forever changed Las Vegas."

A 2006 inductee into the American Gaming Association's Hall of Fame, Wynn also has been cited among such luminaries as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Rupert Murdoch, Michael Dell and Warren Buffet as one of Forbes' "25 Captains of Capitalism." In 2014, Harvard Business Review ranked Wynn number 17 on its list of the "100 Best-Performing CEOs in the World."
