Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) has announced a strategic alliance with Clover Technologies Group (Clover). The alliance represents an expansion of the existing relationship between the two companies to deliver greater value and service to Sharp customers.

"Through this partnership we are emphasizing our ongoing commitment to customer service while highlighting our quality products and leadership in the imaging supplies industry," said Ron Petrucci, senior vice president of business development, Clover Technologies Group.

"This new relationship will provide our dealers with a unique opportunity to combine third-party toner on the same invoice as Sharp hardware and supplies," said Mike Marusic, senior vice president of marketing, operations and service, SIICA. "Dealers who have a managed print services (MPS) program will now be able to have their third-party toner drop-shipped directly to their customers, which will save a ton of time, money and resources."

In other news, SIICA has announced that FabSoft has joined the Sharp Partner Program.

FabSoft's Reform Business Platform provides a complete range of workflow solutions engineered to streamline processes such as document capture, Zonal OCR, bar coding, document routing and dot matrix form replacement. In addition, Reform can also track print costs and impose limits on users through its cost accounting and print management features.

Recently, FabSoft's Reform VDP (variable data printing) received full validation as a Sharp-compatible software product and can function seamlessly with Sharp MFPs. Reform VDP greatly reduces the need for manual data entry and can intelligently deliver business forms to a variety of destinations including email, fax and archive systems. Sharp customers can now experience faster document processing and boosted workflow efficiency through Reform VDP's automation capabilities.

"We have always had a strong rapport with Sharp and we are excited to take our business relationship to the next level," said Gary Hollfelder, president & CEO, FabSoft. "Sharp's high-quality and user-friendly products complement the intuitive design of Reform VDP. We look forward to strengthening our product synergies for years to come."

"We are happy to have Reform VDP join our community of validated third-party products," said Vince Jannelli, senior director of software product management, SIICA. "FabSoft's comprehensive variable data printing solution, coupled with a Sharp MFP, can enable organizations to become more efficient."
