Konica Minolta Announces New Organizational Structure to Position Company for Long-Term Growth

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. (Konica Minolta) has announced that the board of directors of Konica Minolta Inc. has appointed Rick Taylor as an executive officer of Konica Minolta Inc. and president and CEO of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. effective April 1, 2016.

Tom Taiko, chairman and CEO of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc., continues his role as executive officer of Konica Minolta Inc. and will return to Japan to begin his new role as general manager of the Worldwide Strategic Business Planning Headquarters of Business Technology, a new position within Konica Minolta Inc.

Taylor has been responsible for corporate strategy and operations for Konica Minolta's U.S. operations, leading more than 8,000 employees. He currently oversees U.S. mergers and acquisitions, sales, service, marketing, administration, finance and legal. Taylor is a graduate of the University of Kansas and serves on Konica Minolta's Global Strategy Council, focused on business transformation and growth strategies for Konica Minolta worldwide. He has a vast amount of industry experience in creating new revenue avenues while maintaining a cohesive and productive sales strategy for business partners. Taylor has been named "Executive of the Year" nine times in the annual survey of more than 300 independent office equipment dealers.

"This is the perfect time for Rick Taylor to become an executive officer of our parent company and Konica Minolta Business Solutions' next chief executive officer," Taiko said. "His leadership has played a significant role in the growth of our company and I'm extremely confident we will move even faster and innovate like never before."
