Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) has announced that the newest additions to the Pro Series lineup, the MX-M1055 and MX-M1205 Monochrome Document Systems, are now shipping.
The 105 page-per-minute (ppm) and 120 ppm monochrome models offer the optional MX-PE11 Fiery Print Server running on the latest Fiery FS200 Pro platform and Sharp's 15.4-inch (diagonal) touchscreen display that allows full control of Fiery Command WorkStation at the operation panel of the machine. The latest version of Fiery Command WorkStation offers new ways to prioritize print production. The new Fiery print server also allows users to easily inspect jobs in the optional Fiery ImageViewer for Black and White, to improve tonality and ensure high image quality.
"Sharp's Pro Series Monochrome Document Systems help streamline workflow with unsurpassed ease-of-use for CRDs and in-plant customers," said Mike Marusic, senior vice president of marketing, operations & services, SIICA. "We've expanded our award-winning series to provide our customers with a wider variety of options to meet all of their printing needs."
"Based on the latest FS200 Pro system software, the MX-PE11 Fiery Print Server gives in-plants improved personalization, performance capabilities and speed enhancements, as well as the ability to adjust the contrast and brightness of printed output with the optional Fiery ImageViewer for Black and White," said John Henze, vice president of Fiery marketing, EFI.
Adding to the monochrome systems' ease-of-use is the new paper catalog, which resides on the print engine and allows up to 1,000 paper entries, giving operators ultimate control when handling the specific characteristics of their preferred paper. Bringing together Sharp's exclusive triple air-feed, large capacity tray option with the comprehensive paper catalog ensures precise paper handling and excellent print results on a wide range of media, including coated, glossy and specialty papers.
With the full-service capabilities of the Pro Series lineup, in-plants can now accelerate their business and benefit from producing customized marketing campaigns using variable data printing formats, including those that use built-in Fiery FreeForm software.
