SYNNEX Wins Red Hat North America Partner Award

SYNNEX Corp. has announced that it has been named Commercial Distributor of the Year by Red Hat. The award is part of the annual Red Hat North America Partner Awards, which were announced during the 2016 Red Hat North America Partner Conference in New Orleans.

"SYNNEX is honored to be named Commercial Distributor of the Year by Red Hat, a vendor who continues to help us deliver leading solutions that support customers who are transitioning to the cloud or looking to improve their existing cloud offerings," said Peter Larocque, president of North American technology solutions, SYNNEX Corp. "Together, we are providing next-generation cloud solutions to the IT channel that help our customers differentiate their offerings in the rapidly changing marketplace."

SYNNEX is honored for enabling exceptional sales growth of Red Hat solutions with 28-percent year-over-year growth overall across all customer categories and 37-percent growth among its value-added reseller base. The distributor is recognized for providing open-source solutions, including developing a "cloud-in-a-box" bundled solution in conjunction with a leading hardware manufacturer to support Red Hat OpenStack and Ceph. Last year, SYNNEX made investments to its existing Red Hat solutions lab and worked with hardware manufacturers to build an additional lab to showcase Red Hat emerging technologies for customers. Recognizing the gap in the marketplace for cloud skills, SYNNEX added resources to assist customers through the entire sales cycle so they do not have to invest in new resources on their own. SYNNEX also added dedicated cloud specialists to drive Red Hat emerging technologies.

Red Hat's 2015 North America Partner Awards honor both commercial and public sector partners for their dedication to successfully delivering innovative, open-source solutions to customers. Honorees were recognized for outstanding performance in 2015 across several categories, including Cloud Partner of the Year; Industry Solution Partner of the Year; Distributor of the Year; High Volume Partner of the Year; Innovation Partner of the Year; Middleware Solutions Provider Partner of the Year; Middleware Global Systems Integrator of the Year; Partner of the Year; Canadian Partner of the Year; Rising Star Partner of the Year; Catalyst Partner of the Year; and System Integrator Partner of the Year.

In other news, SYNNEX Corp. has announced that its Microsoft Global Business Unit developed and launched an ISV ecosystem strategy around its Microsoft solutions portfolio. The ISV ecosystem strategy gives SYNNEX resellers the ability to differentiate their offerings while providing a richer application experience for their end-user customers. This can increase adoption of Microsoft products while potentially boosting the solution provider's revenue opportunities and enhancing its ability to scale its business. SYNNEX offers fully vetted ISV solutions to enhance the following Microsoft products:

  • Cloud migration (productivity and infrastructure) - BitTitan

  • Partner cloud enablement (sell, onboard and service the Microsoft Cloud) - BitTitan
