Tuesday, July 19, 2016
Continuum has appointed Paul Chisholm, retired CEO of mindSHIFT Technologies, to its board of directors. Under his leadership, mindSHIFT, a Ricoh company and one of the largest IT outsourcing and cloud services providers serving small and medium-sized businesses, was recognized as the number-one MSP in the United States for four consecutive years, as listed in the MSPmentor 100 global report.
"Paul's career in this industry spans more than four decades and he has one of the best, long-term performance records of any CEO," said Michael George, CEO, Continuum. "It is difficult to find someone who matches up to his industry experience, knowledge and insight, so we are delighted to welcome him to Continuum's board and expect he'll assist Continuum in becoming an even more focused, successful IT channel company."
Prior to joining mindSHIFT, Chisholm provided business management and telecom consulting to various venture capital firms. From 1996 to 2001, he was president and CEO of COLT Telecom Group, headquartered in London, England. Chisholm started at COLT in 1992 as the company's first managing director and grew the company from inception to a public company with revenue of $1 billion. He was ranked the 26th best-performing CEO in the world by the Harvard Business Review. Chisholm maintains active involvement in the industry by providing business consulting and management development for young startup businesses. He is an active board member of several companies and educational institutions.
Chisholm will deliver the closing keynote address at Navigate 2016, Continuum's third-annual user conference taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He was one of the most popular speakers at Continuum's inaugural Navigate user conference in 2014. This year, Chisholm is expected to talk on the large opportunity available to MSPs and how to build a large, successful business like he did.
"In my dealings with Continuum, the tremendous opportunity they are delivering to MSP partners is clear," Chisholm said. "I see further potential for Continuum and the IT channel, and I expect that in guiding Continuum to capitalize on the opportunity, it will only aid the long-term stability and growth of the channel."
