SYNNEX Launches Strategy to Empower IT Channel Growth in Regulated Industries

SYNNEX Corp. has announced the official launch of a new regulated industries strategy focused on empowering its customers to deploy solutions in key end-user verticals including transportation, health care, utilities and construction. With its robust public sector business as the foundation, SYNNEX' regulated industries strategy is an important step in helping resellers grow their businesses in these high-compliance, fast-paced vertical markets. The strategy further complements SYNNEX' portfolio for city services around public safety, health care, education and building automation, which together power the Smart City technology segment.

SYNNEX' regulated industries strategy focuses on products and solutions for mobility, cloud, converged infrastructure, and the internet of things, which together help keep end-user workforces connected, secure and productive. Within each vertical market, SYNNEX offers products and solutions around the following:
Transportation: fleet management, mobile data terminals, intermodal connectivity, track and trace, infrastructure monitoring and vehicle area network solutions
Health care: mobile health-care workers, long-term care, remote patient monitoring, support for first responders and public health
Utilities (energy, waste and water): monitoring solutions, automated metering, and solutions to support field-based workers and meeting SCADA protocols
Construction: a toolbox of technology solutions to help end users operate intelligent job sites, including wide-format printers, displays, 360-degree cameras, 3D input devices, drones, and virtualization and virtual reality products.
In health care, SYNNEX is increasing its focus to help resellers address the growing number of opportunities around virtual health, as well as the needs of mobile health-care workers in rural settings. Resellers can rely on SYNNEX experts to help them navigate applying to and seeking funding from the Healthcare Connect Fund, which provides discounts on eligible expenses related to broadband connectivity and infrastructure for rural health-care providers.
Resellers can also rely on the support of SYNNEX' field services program through its SERVICESolv group. The program helps support and simplify how resellers go to market with and close opportunities in field services through a focused approach to technology deployment that ensures the successful launch of new infrastructure.
In other news, SYNNEX Corp. has announced that it is the first broadline IT distributor to be awarded with the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) contract, a leading national government purchasing cooperative that works to reduce the cost of goods and services by leveraging the purchasing power of public agencies in all 50 states. By working with SYNNEX' GOVSolv group, qualified resellers are able to access the NCPA contract through the distributor to sell directly to more than 90,000 agencies nationwide in the public and non-profit sectors.
The agreement delivers new opportunities to SYNNEX vendor partners in verticals including state and local government, K-12 and higher education, health care, non-profits and religious organizations, while allowing resellers to access a variety of nationwide contracts that span the entire SYNNEX line card. SYNNEX simplifies the entire process for resellers by helping them avoid contract solicitation. Once approved through the SYNNEX Dealer Program, qualified resellers are authorized to invoice NCPA members and accept payment on behalf of SYNNEX. Resellers in the small-to-medium business space can also team with larger resellers to win NCPA contracts.

Resellers can also take advantage of support offerings to help grow their business through SYNNEX' GOVSolv group including dedicated sales and development teams; access to tools from the Center for Digital Government and Education to discover and capitalize on state and local government and education opportunities; and a grant program where experts can help them through the intricacies of the grant process.
In other news, SYNNEX Corp. has announced it has been selected as a master value-added distributor by CalAmp, a provider of wireless products, services and solutions. The agreement falls under SYNNEX' MOBILITYSolv group and strengthens the distributor's internet of things portfolio by offering CalAmp's cellular routers, private radios, gateway products, and device configuration and management tools. SYNNEX resellers have access to CalAmp's newly enhanced line of Vanguard ruggedized cellular routers, which are enabled with smart vehicle technology and seamlessly integrate with CalAmp's telematics intelligence engine.

The recently enhanced line of CalAmp Vanguard products brings added capabilities, allowing end users to continuously monitor their vehicles' operating environments and respond instantly to threshold conditions such as motion, location, geo-zone crossings and custom parameters. Additionally, new telematics functionality enables Vanguard routers to provide access to engine diagnostic data to streamline maintenance, track vehicle location and speed, and monitor key driver behavior metrics like hard braking, cornering and acceleration.
