Distribution Management Expands Western Region Capacity
Tuesday, October 4, 2016
Distribution Management (DM) has expanded its Fresno, California, distribution center to support customer demand in the Western region. DM began aggressive infrastructure enhancement plans in mid-2015 with expansions in its Northeast, Central and, now, its Western region distribution centers. In addition, an acquisition added a Foreign Trade Zone facility in Chicago, Illinois.
"We're pleased with the progress we've made on our expansion plans to date," said Sean Fleming, CEO, DM. "The increased capacity supports several of our objectives, including product-line expansion within our Supplies Network division and overall growth within our DM Fulfillment business. The investments in additional space and order automation technology are vital to support current and future customer volume."
"Increasing both storage space and the ability to handle increased order velocity in the West was the next logical step to optimize our distribution footprint," said Rick Goe, vice president of supply chain, DM. "This newly enhanced facility will help us achieve our goal to not only meet, but exceed, customer expectations."
DM distribution center staff, members of the executive team and supply chain vendors will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate this next phase of expansion and growth of Distribution Management.
