DocuWare Announces Cloud-Based, Preconfigured DocuWare Kinetic Solutions

DocuWare has announced DocuWare Kinetic Solutions, which are preconfigured workflows for common, document-centric business processes.

With simplified implementation and an intuitive user experience, this next generation of content services offers a fast path to productivity for any size organization. The first two solutions to hit the market: invoice processing and employee management, with more to follow.

Customers can now take advantage of DocuWare's decades of experience deploying thousands of successful business process solutions with its cloud document management and workflow automation technology. By preconfiguring content organization, roles, workflows and other settings, DocuWare provides customers the full power of a content services platform through faster, application-like deployment.

Two solutions are available immediately:
  • DocuWare Kinetic Solution for Invoice Processing captures, routes, processes and archives incoming invoices to expedite payment, minimize manual touch and securely organize documents.
  • DocuWare Kinetic Solution for Employee Management centralizes, secures and shares employee documents related to recruiting, onboarding, performance and more.
"We are seeing three signals in the market," said Jürgen Biffar, president, DocuWare. "First, because of its attractive economics and simplified IT impact, there is escalating demand for cloud services versus traditional on-premise software. Second, functional utility is not enough – clear, intuitive usability is now expected. Third, companies are more inclined to deploy a narrow, departmental solution versus trying to configure complicated, legacy software. Enterprise-focused software that requires lengthy and complicated professional services is witnessing softer demand."

DocuWare Kinetic Solutions are a direct answer to those three signals. Tremendous focus was placed on intuitive configurations for rapid user adoption, deployments in days (even hours) versus weeks, and integration into an organization's current IT ecosystem. More critically, DocuWare Kinetic Solutions solve key process challenges that plague organizations of any size.

For the accounting team, DocuWare Kinetic Solution for Invoice Processing provides a clear, end-to-end workflow for capturing, indexing, routing and archiving incoming invoices for faster payments and significantly reduced manual touch. With features like PO matching, split-code billing support, automatic approvals based on vendor quick-match, post back to an ERP and a rapidly searchable archive, every process step is optimized for efficiency.

For the human resources team, DocuWare Kinetic Solution for Employee Management provides a secure, centralized and tightly organized repository for employee documents that serves as a hub for connecting processes like recruitment and onboarding, performance reviews, time-off management and more. HR staff can eliminate the searching and email chase and focus on managing, growing and developing teams.

Both solutions help organizations stay secure and compliant, including support for HIPAA and the GDPR.

DocuWare is developing additional solutions for future release.

In other news, DocuWare has launched DocuWare version 7, the next generation in performance, stability and scalability.

With significant improvements to the platform and advanced new features, DocuWare continues to position itself as a choice for businesses seeking flexible, integrated content services.

DocuWare version 7 continues its lead in the cloud with its fourth-generation cloud architecture. The entire platform was optimized for performance, scalability and stability to support large organizations, while delivering significant improvements to the user interface. In addition to new Active Directory support and handling of significantly more simultaneous users, the interface is measurably faster. For example, searches are quicker by 50 percent, archiving by 35 percent, data indexing by 75 percent, and a new workflow engine provides more rapid and reliable workflow processing.

DocuWare Forms also offers significant enhancements such as flexible layout options, progressive input displays and improved field validation. Connect to Outlook now uses intelligent archiving to avoid duplicate entries, improving data integrity and database efficiency.

Comprehensive system enhancements include export of CSV files at all system levels to support auditing, compliance measurements and analytics. A more performant workflow engine allows for easier control of workflow tasks. And a new mobile client introduces an improved architecture and user experience for document retrieval and task completion on the go.

DocuWare version 7 also introduces the foundation for DocuWare Kinetic Solutions, cloud-based, preconfigured workflows for common business processes like invoice processing and employee management. These application-like deployments of DocuWare Cloud significantly reduce professional services time while also allowing for a much faster onramp and therefore higher productivity.

Biffar sees DocuWare version 7 as another breakthrough in the company's impressive history.

DocuWare version 7 will also be available as on-premise software. DocuWare Kinetic Solutions are only available through the cloud.
