Epson has introduced new Epson Label Media designed for the ColorWorks C3500 on-demand color label printer using DURABrite Ultra pigment ink. All new ColorWorks Durable Matte Synthetic Label, ColorWorks High Gloss Label and ColorWorks Premium Matte Label media deliver text, bar codes and images with sharpness and detail. Epson Media supplements the inkjet media products that many ColorWorks partners offer, providing another solution for customers and partners looking for label media.

"Sourcing and testing label media can take a lot of time and effort, as there is a vast amount of media options with varying degrees of performance," said Bonny Chou, product manager, commercial labels, Epson America Inc. "With the new Epson media, our customers can start printing right away, with confidence they are using a known media guaranteed to work with the ColorWorks C3500 and that will deliver exceptional results."

Epson's new label media delivers photo-quality color labels that are consistent from print to print and resistant to smearing, fading, water and scratches. They are also rigorously tested for overall quality assurance. Additional features include:

The permanent acrylic adhesive works on a variety of surfaces, including drums and plastic containers. BS-5609 certified for GHS chemical labeling applications, the labels are resistant to many chemicals and are ideal for GHS chemical labels, pharmaceutical labels, medical device labels, laboratory labels, product labels requiring water or chemical resistance and more.

ColorWorks High Gloss Label – Delivers photo-quality color labels on a bright white glossy surface. Labels are fast-drying and resistant to many chemicals. In addition, the permanent acrylic adhesive works on a variety of surfaces. It is ideal for high-quality product labels, box labels for consumer products and more.

ColorWorks Premium Matte Label – Delivers photo-quality color labels on a smooth, matte white surface. Labels are fast-drying and resistant to smearing, fading, water and scratches. In addition, the permanent acrylic adhesive works on a variety of surfaces. It is ideal for bar-code labels, box labels for consumer products, pharmaceutical labels, shipping labels, sample labels and more.

New Epson ColorWorks labels are now available through Epson's network of authorized partners.

In other news, Epson America Inc. has announced that Keypoint Intelligence - Buyers Laboratory (BLI) has awarded Epson EcoTank printers two accolades in the BLI Winter 2020 Pick awards. The Epson EcoTank ET-2760 was honored for "Outstanding Personal Color Inkjet All-in-One" and the EcoTank ET-4760 as "Outstanding SOHO Color Inkjet All-in-One" in the Printer/MFP category.

Buyers Lab credited both the EcoTank ET-2760 and ET-4760 for providing customers an efficient solution with an extremely low cost per page on replacement ink, as well as outstanding performance, functionality and overall image quality. Buyers Lab Pick products are selected based on rigorous testing, including an extensive durability assessment and evaluation of key attributes such as usability, image quality and value. The products and solutions that provide the most outstanding performance with the highest evaluation scores are awarded a Pick award within their respective industry category.

"The Epson EcoTank ET-2760 and ET-4760 are ideal for home office environments looking for a highly reliable color MFP," said Kaitlin Shaw, senior editor of printer/MFP analysis, Keypoint Intelligence. "These devices use Epson's cartridge-free ink tank system and ship with up to two years of ink with the included or a replacement ink set. This, combined with low-cost replacement ink bottles, translates to an extraordinarily low cost per page. Additionally, users get an easy-to-use, highly reliable device they can count on to keep downtime to an absolute minimum."

"We listen to the needs of our customers and strive to build solutions to address their printing needs," said Haol Yao, product manager of consumer imaging, Epson America. "With our EcoTank printers that leverage a supersized ink tank system, we help eliminate the frustration of running out of ink and needing to purchase ink cartridge replacements at inopportune times. That means fewer trips to the store; and with up to two years of ink in the box with the included or a replacement ink set. EcoTank printers provide a cost-efficient, reliable solution."
