BTA member Les Olson Company has announced the retirement of its chairman of the board and CEO, Jim Olson. During his more than 47 years with the company, his influence and leadership has helped steer Les Olson Company through a changing business environment as technology continues to shape how people communicate and transact business. Olson has the ability to influence change at the appropriate time, while also remaining true to the same level of honesty and integrity the business was founded on 60 years ago. His commitment and dedication to making people feel important is one of his many trademarks.

Olson shares many of the same qualities of leadership that his parents Les and Reva did, and has wholeheartedly continued their legacy and passion for giving back to the community in various charitable services and donations. Evidence of Olson's passion for service and generosity is his service to our country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War.

Upon Jim Olson's retirement, James Olson will continue in the role of CEO.

The company has also announced that CFO Lisa Thaller has been appointed as its new chairman of the board. Through her nearly 34 years at Les Olson Company, she has shown a commitment and passion for hard work and service.

Starting work as a file clerk, Thaller has risen steadily to become a great leader and a standard of women in leadership that will direct Les Olson Company to continue their tradition of honesty and integrity indefinitely. She has been a member of the board of directors since 2004, serving as secretary-treasurer since 2011. Thaller takes over the position of chairman of the board during Les Olson Company's 60th year in business.

During her career, Thaller had the opportunity to work with Les Olson Company founders Les and Reva Olson — her grandparents — and her own father, Ray Olson, who served as president, CEO and chairman of the board during his time with the company.

In addition to her responsibilities as a CFO, Thaller is also a company shareholder and serves as member of the company's Profit Sharing Plan Investment Committee and Executive Committee. She also serves as a member of the Legacy of Life Committee for the Intermountain Research Foundation and as a Salt Lake Advisory Board member for Zions First National Bank.

The company has also announced that Debbie Olson, a second-generation owner, shareholder and member of Les Olson Company's Board of Directors was named the new secretary-treasurer. She fosters a lifetime of dedication to continue the family traditions of loyalty and customer service.

Since her full-time employment in 1972, Debbie has performed many duties leading up to her current role managing Revco Leasing — Les Olson Company's in-house leasing partner named after Debbie's mother, Reva Olson.

Debbie has previously served on the board of governors for the South Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the Ronald McDonald House Charities Gala Committee and enjoys a passion for service and community involvement.

"Always be happy," Debbie said. "True happiness can be achieved through a simple thank you, a smile, loving others, giving a helping hand, and being trustworthy and grateful for what you have."
