KYOCERA Names Top Dealer Service Technicians for 2015

KYOCERA Document Solutions America has announced the five regional finalists and one national winner in its Kyocera Technical Service Awards 2015.

Craig Doeden from Century Business Products Inc., Sioux Falls, South Dakota, of Kyocera's Midwest Region was named this year's Kyocera Top Technician, topping more than 4,000 technicians throughout the United States eligible to participate. Those accepting the challenge had to make their way through three rigorous stages of competition: an initial online test, followed by a regional match-up and the final stage being held at the national level to determine Kyocera's Top Technician for 2015.

"Kyocera has always been proud of the service we offer our customers," said Terry Knopsnyder, vice president of engineering, KYOCERA Document Solutions America. "It's one of the main pillars of our Total Document Solutions [TDS] approach to serving our clients. For many customers, the technicians we send into the field are the face of Kyocera — they represent the Kyocera brand and our TDS approach. Our dealer service technicians take that responsibility seriously and it shows in their skill and dedication. This competition honors that dedication."

Doeden will be joined by other winners from around the world on a trip to Japan and China to enjoy the local sights, sounds, culture and cuisine, as well as visits to major Kyocera factories and facilities.

The regional winners:
  • Northeast Region — Ronald Gates, Phillips Office Solutions, Middletown, Pennsylvania
  • Southeast Region — Kevin McCreary, Capital Office Products, Columbia, South Carolina
  • Southwest Region — John Stich, UNA Copy, Amarillo, Texas
  • Western Region — John Foust, KBA DOCUSYS Inc., Union City, California
