The Cannata Report (TCR) has announced that Scott Cullen has been appointed to the newly created position of managing editor/chief correspondent, effective immediately. The announcement was made today by Frank G. Cannata, president, editor-in-chief and publisher of The Cannata Report.

"We are thrilled to welcome Scott to The Cannata Report," Frank Cannata said. "His expertise is unmatched as is his reputation as one of the most widely read and respected journalists in the industry. Because of increasing demand for our content and the broadening of our editorial scope, as well as our transformation to an integrated media brand — with expanding digital, social, print and event platforms — it was necessary for my partner, CJ Cannata, and I to add to our executive management team and bring in a proven professional like Scott who can make an immediate impact on the growth and acceleration of our business."

"With this new, expanded management structure and the many new partnerships we continue to forge throughout the industry, we have further solidified our position as the preeminent media brand covering the world of imaging, workflow solutions and SMB technology, with an unequalled expertise on the independent dealer channel," said CJ Cannata, senior vice president of brand strategy & development.

Cullen has reported on the document imaging industry and has written for an array of industry publications for 30 years. He is the founder, publisher and editor of The Week in Imaging, which he launched in 2009 and subsequently merged with ENX in 2014. Most recently, Cullen served as editorial director of ENX/The Week in Imaging, where he further distinguished himself with his innovative editorial concepts and unique story angles.

"The Cannata Report is one of the most recognized brands in the industry and I am thrilled to be joining the team at such an exciting and opportune time," Cullen said. "I look forward to enhancing TCR's position as the most relevant resource covering the trends shaping the future of the document imaging/office technology industry, including 3D printing, production print, mobile printing and the cloud, in addition to the many apps that are emerging and elevating technology, solutions and services to a whole new level."

As managing editor, Cullen will oversee The Cannata Report's editorial team, including Sharon Esker, Tetsuo Kubo, Bob Ingoglia and Bob Sostilio. In his role as chief correspondent, Cullen will report on the technology, solutions and services driving the business today, as well as share his keen insight and analysis. CJ Cannata will continue in his dual role, overseeing TCR's overall brand strategy and content development, and serving as lead editorial correspondent.

The Cannata Report's momentum is fueled by increased coverage of the emerging trends in the industry; growth of its hallmark content franchises, including the Annual Dealer Survey and corresponding Annual Awards and Charities Dinner, both in their 31st year; the recently introduced Women Influencers and Young Influencers editorial franchises; and the creation of special themed issues such as TCR's just launched Production Print issue in November 2015. Moreover, The Cannata Report is significantly expanding its participation at industry-wide events, including Graph Expo, SGIA and the MWAi Executive Connection Summit, among others.
