In Memoriam: Joseph R. Castrianni

Joseph (Joe) R. Castrianni, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at his home in Aventura, Florida.

Born on Feb. 5, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, Joe was the youngest of five children born to Ross and Antonina (Giordano) Castrianni. After completing high school, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1946 and was stationed in San Diego, California, and then the Florida Naval Base. At the end of his military service, Joe moved to New York, where he was employed as vice president of the American Marketing Division of Sharp Electronics. He had a very successful business career, introducing the first plain-paper copier and facsimile unit to the U.S. market. Upon retiring, Joe moved to Miami, Florida, where he lived until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters- in-law Carl and Grace Castrianni, Christopher and Kathryn Castrianni, Salvatore Castrianni; and sister and brother-in-law Helen and Frank Evans. He is survived by sister-in-law Delores Castrianni; nephews Ron Castrianni, Ross (Karen) Castrianni, Dennis (Judi) Evans and Carl (Judy) Castrianni; nieces Anita (Rene') Yanes and Jan Evans; several cousins; and great-nephews and nieces.
