BEI Announces REACH Leadership Development Academy

BEI Services Inc. has announced the REACH Leadership Development Academy. REACH is an acronym for "Respect, Expectations, Accountability, Coaching and Humility." These principals, paired with BEI's exclusive management solutions, will help your leaders develop the people skill set necessary to implement the specific tools they will be taught to use during these on-site, instructor-led sessions.

The academy consists of three specific courses geared towards different job responsibilities:
  • Level One is designed for those managers and supervisors who are directly responsible for field service technicians.
  • Level Two is for those managers whose responsibility is at a departmental level, up to and including P&L responsibilities.
  • Inventory and Logistics, designed to help those managing the parts and warehouse facilities improve their hold-for-parts rates, improve their inventory turns and decrease obsolescence.
While there have been many iterations of this type of service leadership training, what sets the REACH Leadership Academy apart is incorporating the "soft skills" component as the foundation on which to build additional key service management attributes. The components of REACH enable individuals to interact effectively and harmoniously with others, and this type of interaction is essential to operational and organizational success.

"We are very excited to launch this program and feel it will be a game changer in the industry," said Wes McArtor, president, BEI Services. "BEI had uncovered through various studies that dealerships that spend time to develop management and properly coach technicians perform substantially better than their counterparts. As a result of this, we developed the REACH Leadership Development Academy, finally bridging the gap between interpersonal and technical training, both of which are crucial parts of fostering a dynamic workforce."

The REACH Leadership Development Academy will be holding its first sessions in September 2016. For more information about attending, email
