Gold Sponsor Presentations

Managing Change for Business Growth
Michael Frothingham, vice president of specialty inkjet - postal & wide format, Clover Imaging Group

In this session, Frothingham will discuss the state of the U.S. market with the major players (HP, Pitney Bowes, Neopost, FP) and others. He will share tips on how to make money on postal imaging supplies and how to grow your business, as well as strategies for communicating with customers in this changing market. Frothingham will also talk about OEM tactics, how to combat them and win. Finally, there will be an open discussion on the benefits of recycling, sustainability and reuse.

Frothingham thrives on change, new markets and new business. In the late '90s, he was an early innovator in the inkjet market, championing development of fluorescent pigment and dyes with Ph.D. chemists at DayGlo Color Corp. The team worked closely with Pitney Bowes, HP and Canon at the dawn of the consumer inkjet market. After starting his own cartridge and computer recycling business in 2001, Frothingham bought and sold several businesses. These businesses developed cutting-edge recycling programs for FedEx Kinkos, MicroCenter, InkStop, Best Buy and many others. From 2005 to 2012, he focused on developing alternative supplies focused on niche markets with a special focus on the postal indicia/franking markets in both North America and Western Europe. In 2012, Frothingham merged Day Imaging with ColorLabs Ink Innovations to form DC Imaging LLC. DC Imaging was solely focused on the postal franking supplies markets in Western Europe and the U.S. postal imaging supplies and addressing supplies markets. He sold DC Imaging to Clover Technologies Group in early 2017 and now manages global specialty inkjet market development for postal imaging supplies, addressing, packaging, wide format and all OEM partnership developments.
