Strategic Business Results: Office Technology Providers Talk EOS

Moderated by Sally Brause, director of human resources consulting, GreatAmerica Financial Services Corp., and leader of the PathShare HR Services division

During this dealer panel, Brause will sit down with three office technology providers to understand their experiences with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS®) based on Gino Wickman's book, "Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business." By the time you leave this session, you will understand the value of EOS and the results your peers have experienced by implementing the system.

Brause is the director of human resources consulting for GreatAmerica Financial Services Corp. and leads the PathShare HR Services division of GreatAmerica. She has been sharing human resources, sales training and organizational development expertise with technology clients since 2008. Brause is an EOS Implementer, a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), has been certified as a compensation professional through World at Work, and holds various sales training facilitation and behavioral assessment certifications. She has a master's degree in organizational leadership and participated in the Wharton School of Business' Leading Organizational Change program.

Ken Staubitz began his career in the office technology industry in 1997 and joined BTA member Modern Office Methods (MOM) through the acquisition of a local company in 2003. During his transition period to MOM, Staubitz held various service and operational positions and was tasked with integrating both companies' (service departments specifically) into the MOM family. In 2011, he left MOM to pursue other career aspirations and became a service consultant, consulting for many of the industry's top organizations and leading manufacturers. Staubitz also trained hundreds of service leaders in the United States and Canada to achieve the industry's various service and financial benchmarks. In 2015, he made his return to MOM as vice president of service and aftermarket support. As a result of Staubitz's ability to collaborate, develop and foster high-performance teams, in early 2022, he was promoted to COO and now oversees the entire day-to-day operation of MOM and its affiliate companies.

Dean Swenson brings more than 32 years of experience to his position as the president of BTA member The Swenson Group (TSG), Livermore, California. He started his career at Xerox Corp. and held various sales and specialist positions, including selling production solutions to commercial printers and lithographers. As president of TSG, Swenson is involved in all aspects of the company that impact customers, including sales, customer service, staff selection, development and marketing communications. He currently serves as the president of Konica Minolta's Dealer Advisory Council and sits on many other boards, including those for GreatAmerica, Keypoint Intelligence and the Select Dealer Group (SDG). Swenson's primary focus is to create the vision for TSG by building a team of quality, motivated people who all embrace the same core values.

Richard Van Dyke, president and CEO of BTA member Advanced Office, a Southern California dealership, started out in the medical imaging and color computer graphics space and evolved his business into the office technology industry in the early 1980s. The company's territory covers from north of Los Angeles, California, to the Mexican border and east to the desert. As a traditional office technology dealership, Advanced Office is making the transition from a box-moving culture to one that is evolving toward professional services and business process improvement. Along with providing an exceptional customer experience, Advanced Office's team members are highly motivated to be true problem solvers for customer challenges. Van Dyke was one of the founding members and first president of the Select Dealer Group (SDG), and he currently serves as BTA West vice president.
